Salmonella Spondylitis: A Rare Case of Bacterial Spondylitis

Abstract

Bacterial spondylitis is one of the major diseases that cause back pain and should not be missed. Salmonella is rare causative organism of bacterial spondylitis. It is known to be associated with immunocompromised states, such as malignancies, long-term corticosteroid use, and sickle cell anemia. Here, we report our case about salmonella spondylitis occurred in a healthy adult without a specific medical history.
